SANDY HSU  許曉仙
is a multidisciplinary artist, poet and
singer-songwriter, based in Naarm/Melbourne,
on the Wurundjeri lands of the Kulin Nation.

Her work is a lyrical exploration
of the human condition.

Through a metaphysical lens,
her practice explores themes of
the divine feminine, grief,
desire, beauty, cultural ties
and her diasporic identity.

Her EP Stranger State (2022) was voted 
Number 1 Album on the Wettest 100 in 2023,
a community and fan voted countdown 
celebrating left-field, experimental
Australian music. Stranger State was
also lauded as Album of the Week
by Sydney-based radio station, FBi Radio.

In 2023, she was a recipient of the
APRA AMCOS Women in Music program,
where she untook her mentorship 
with Izzi Manfredi.

Her work Suburbia (2016) was the first
audio piece to be shortlisted
and exhibited as a part of TopArts
at the National Gallery of Victoria
Ian Potter Centre.

Hsu works across music, songwriting,
poetry, live performance, text-based
installation and ceramics.

She is part of Provenance
an artist-run collective.
